Kara R. Eisen is a Cleveland, Ohio native and earned her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in Psychology from Miami University. Kara earned her Juris Doctor from DePaul University.
Prior to joining Lichtman Eisen Partners, Ltd., she worked for a national collection firm where she managed a high-volume caseload while representing financial institutions and debt buyers in litigation of cardholder agreements, retail installment contracts, notes and mortgages. Kara then went onto work for a union side labor law firm where she represented employee benefit funds and labor unions in the collection of outstanding pension contributions and union dues.
Kara’s practice is concentrated primarily in commercial litigation in which she represents businesses and financial institutions relating to breach of contract, fraud, unpaid insurance premiums and insurance audits. Kara is skilled in representing judgment creditors in post-judgment proceedings, including, citations to discover assets, wage garnishments, and bank attachments. Kara also has experience in commercial mortgage foreclosures, as well as representing creditors in Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy cases as well as representing clients in preference claims. Kara enjoys the challenges involved in commercial litigation and collections. Outside of the legal practice, Kara is an avid runner and enjoys making jewelry.
